The Pros & Cons of Cyber Monday Shopping
With the holidays coming up, most have probably already started thinking about what to get family, significant others, and friends. With all of the lines and the people running around frantically on Black Friday, trying to make sure they get the deal they want, it can be pretty stressful. A simple way to avoid all of that craziness is Cyber Monday!
Cyber Monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving, November 28. Next to Black Friday, Cyber Monday is one of the biggest shopping days of the whole year, so you can shop without the hassle of traffic, lines, and frantic shoppers.! Retailers of every kind bring some tremendous discounts to online stores.
What are the pros to online shopping on Cyber Monday?
- One important fact is that Cyber Monday does not distract the family away from Thanksgiving. Traditional Black Friday shopping usually starts around 6:00 p.m on Thanksgiving Day.
- There are no long lines, which means you will probably save some time.
- You are able to possibly earn bonus points through reward cards.
- Some sites may possibly offer free shipping!
- You can easily compare online prices, and you can do it all in your pajamas!
But, unfortunately, there are a few downsides to online shopping.
- You may have to wait days or weeks before your items come in the mail.
- You can not actually see what you are buying. For instance, you can’t try on clothes and may have to return.
- Speaking of returns, depending on the site, it can be quite the hassle.
- Also, some stores may not offer free shipping. This could end up costing you way more money depending on the item and where you live.
- Online, some inventory may be sold out from Black Friday.
- There is also a chance some Black Friday deals may be better.
