Teacher Spotlight – Mrs. Paine
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself?
A: I have been married for 19 years. I have one son, Trevor who is 13 and in 7th grade. He goes to Western Reserve School. We like to spend our weekends watching our son race his dirtbike.
Q: What made you interested in teaching?
A: Actually this was my second choice, I wanted to be a coach. Coaching and teaching are relatively the same things. I love kids and helping them learn more, to expand their minds in new directions.
Q: Why did you get into accounting and yearbook?
A: I used to work at a print shop for 10 years and do all the pages by hand. How I got into accounting is I was the bookkeeper for my old company and did the payroll for them. It all tied together because I had all the experience I needed to teach.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about teaching?
A: My favorite thing about teaching is seeing people understand what I’m telling them. I also enjoy seeing them go to college for accounting and succeeding in what they love.
