Guide to Gift Giving
The Holidays are coming up, and soon, it will be time for Christmas. The art of gift giving is a very tricky and a difficult one when you don’t know enough about the person or have no idea what to get them. Here are some ways that you can go about it:
- Humor: They say laughter is the best medicine, and in this case, it is. One way to make the occasion memorable for a family member, friend, or significant other is to get them a gift that highlights something funny in your relationship. For example: Buy them something that is an inside joke between you both, or do the classic box inside a box inside a box with something completely unexpected at the very end such as a marble.
- Heartfelt: Another way to go is to speak from the heart. Get your person something that represents you both as a whole. For example: a CD with all of the songs representing you both, or songs you think of when you are with them or a framed picture of you, As they say, pictures are worth a thousand words.
- Homemade: Nothing adds that personal touch more than a homemade gift. Create a card, or if you are really artistic, create a masterpiece.
- Hungry: The way to win a person over is through their stomachs. The gift of food is also a great choice to give. Instead of buying them something that they are only going to use once and that will rot in their room forever, get them the food gift. Make them something sweet that will be the perfect holiday treat.
- Giftcard: Gift cards are something that you just can’t go wrong with giving. They are fast, simple, and usually, the main thing that people get if you are in a hurry.
- Money: This is an alternative to the gift card if you have no idea what they would like or just want them to pick out what they want instead of buying them something that they might not like.
- Cards: A simple way to express what you want to convey to your giftie.
