It may seem like just a regular class, but Poland Seminary High School’s art program is becoming very competitive.

“My students are sending in there portfolios to The Scholastic Art and Writing competition hosted by Youngstown State. They are being judged on their piece and seeing if their art will make it into the competition. I am very excited because my kids are amazing artist and I think we have a great possibility to have some art in it,” art teacher Mrs. Holub said.

The art work has to be looked at and accepted before it is entered in the art competition. After being accepted, the art work will be officially entered in at The Scholastic Art and Writing competition.  Holub sent all of the amazing artwork in and is now waiting to hear back.

The competition will take place in January.
