Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots Predictions
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots, Sunday January 22, 6:40 pm
Here’s a fun fact: Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, and Peyton Manning have represented the AFC in the Super Bowl in 13 of the last 14 Super Bowls. The usual kings of the AFC are battling again in the AFC championship.
Tom Brady is in a familiar scenario, as is Big Ben Roethlisberger, who are both known for their postseason dominance. Steelers are red hot on a 9 games, and the Patriots are just as hot on an 8 game win streak.
These teams last played in week 7 of the regular season where Tom Brady and Co. defeated the Big Ben-less Steelers 27-16, which isn’t a bad loss considering backup QB Landry Jones played.
Some people disagreed with me riding with the Steelers. Last week, it seemed that people thought the Chiefs were going to win. However, the Steelers prevailed as I predicted.
As a fan of the Steelers, it’ll be hard to make a prediction for this game. Tom Brady is going to shred the Steeler defense as he has historically done year after year, but I have a feeling the killer B’s have something up their sleeves.
Expect big games from Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown and also from Tom Brady and Julian Edelman. I see this as a potentially high scoring matchup due to two high powered offenses against two average defenses. Tom Brady and Bill Belicheck are proven to be a winning pair, but has Terry Bradshaw lit a fire under Mike Tomlin with his “Cheerleader” comment?
We’ll wait and see this Sunday. As a fan of Pittsburgh, I have to ride with my team. By no means will this game be easy for either team. Close win for Steelers.
Prediction: Steelers 35, Patriots 30
