Sweethearts, the middle child of dances, is often overlooked by students at PSHS. Everyone loves Homecoming because it’s the first dance of the year and everyone gets excited for the Homecoming football game. Also, everyone loves Prom because you get to dress super fancy and it’s the perfect way to end the school year. But what about Sweethearts? It’s probably one of the least attended dances however it should be just as important as the other two! Sweethearts gives us a break in the dreary Winter to get dressed up and it is the last chance for seniors to have fun at a dance with their underclassmen friends.  Dances are what you make of it so if you go in with a negative attitude, obviously you’re not going to have fun. However, if you go in thinking it’s going to be fun, you and your friends are going to have a blast. The dance is only half the fun. Any school dance is an excuse to plan a whole fun weekend out of it. Go out to dinner with your friends after the dance or have a sleepover. You can spend the day Sunday with your friends doing fun Winter activities like ice skating or skiing. Make the whole weekend a fun time with your friends. Especially for seniors, this is your last Sweethearts dance so make it the best one yet!
