PSHS Varsity Baseball Update

The Poland Bulldogs are off to a slow start after returning from their Spring Break trip.

The Bulldogs began the season 3-0 down in Florida. However struggled afterward by only beating Warren Harding 11-10 in 8 innings. This game was not the team’s ideal start to the season. The Bulldogs then bounced back against Harding by defeating them by a score of 12-0. The Dogs then traveled out to West Branch where the Warriors handed them their first loss of the season by a score of 9-0.

Luckily, for the Bulldogs, they picked up a crucial win against the Howland Tigers last night by a score of 1-0. This game was a high-intensity pitching matchup between both teams’ aces. Dan Klase came up big for the Bulldogs by holding the Tigers scoreless and also driving in the winning run on a line shot to right field. The Bulldogs now improve to 5-1 on the season.

They are scheduled to face the Tigers again tonight. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM. It will be played at either Howland Park or Cene Field (weather depending).
