We spoke to Lauren Pepperney, Prom Queen, and she said, “Well, I just think it’s really nice of my classmates to vote me on. I’m nervous to walk on the field in case I mess up. Also, my grandma was on homecoming court in high school at Poland, so she was very excited.”
The crowning of king and queen will take place at the game on Fri., Sept. 22 at 6:30 PM, following the crowning will be the football game, which starts at 7 PM against Edgewood. Edgewood’s record is 1-3 vs. the Bulldogs who are 4-0.
Running Back, Jonah Spencer said, “It’s gonna be an exciting game with all of the former players coming back for homecoming to watch.”
The dog pound will be participating in a USA theme as the team runs out with the American Flag.
The king and queen of court will also be announced at the homecoming dance, which will take place on Saturday the 23rd from 7-10. If the Bulldogs win this game, it will improve their record to 5-0, taking them to week 6 against Struthers at Struthers.
