Are the New Apple iPhones Worth Your Money?
On September 12, 2017, Apple held a conference at the Steve Jobs Theater where they introduced the newest Apple products, iPhone 8 and iPhone X. iPhone X is the product of the ten year anniversary of iPhone. Besides the difference in naming, there are only two things that differentiate the two. iPhone X can perform Face ID, which unlocks the device by a person’s facial features, which is the same camera that recognizes the face and also can be used for Animoji (this displays your facial expression as an emoji).
As for the specs of each phone, they are the exact same. Both use an A11 Bionic chip, can be charged via wireless, are water resistant, are made of a more durable glass, and have a 12mp camera.
The iPhone 8 will be available on September 22, costing consumers a range from $699-$799, and the iPhone X will release at a later time in October for a price of $999. To find more information, or make a pre-order, you can visit Apple’s official website.
