The PSHS Annual Canned Food Drive has come and gone another year. It started October 14th and ended November 3rd. When it was over, a few of the students from student council brought over all the food to Poland United Methodist Church to donate.

Miss Gessler said that there weren’t as many donations from the high school students as there usually are.

“It went okay. We didn’t get the participation we normally do from our high school students, which doesn’t usually happen,” she said.

However, she also told me that some members of student council asked Union Elementary school to participate, and the amount of donations they gave was a tremendous help.

“The students from Union helped out a lot.”

Overall, the student council and Miss Gessler are very grateful for the people who did donate and are encouraging more people to donate next year.
