WKBN Scholarship
WKBN News is accepting applications for its annual Tom Holden Memorial Scholarship Contest. The contest is open to all juniors and seniors in Mahoning, Columbiana, Trumbull and Mercer counties.
To enter the contest, you must submit a written script for a 30 second public service announcement for only one local nonprofit organization on this list. All entries must be submitted to their website. by 11.59pm on March 1, 2018.
The winner will receive a $1,500 college scholarship and the winning script will be made into a commercial that will air on WKBN 27. The five runner-ups will receive a $100 prize and each will be highlighted in a commercial that will air on WKBN 27 through April.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Poland Seminary High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
