Based off of the 1963 movie Bye Bye Birdie with Ann-Margret and Dick Van Dyke, the Poland Players are proud to present the production of Bye Bye Birdie: The Musical, this spring! It is based off of the 1963 movie Bye Bye Birdie with Ann Margaret and Dick Van Dyke.
For those of you who don’t know what Bye Bye Birdie is about, it’s the story of Albert Peterson, a song-writer, trying to make his big break in the business by writing a hit song for the popular star, Conrad Birdie. But Conrad is being drafted into the army, and all his teenage fans are not too pleased about this. So Rose Alvarez, Alberts secretary, has the idea to send Conrad to Sweet Apple, Ohio, to kiss one of his fans, Kim MacAfee, and perform the song as publicity.
