Poland Baseball
The 2018 boys baseball team have big shoes to fill this year after losing a lot of key seniors from last year, three of them going on to play baseball at the collegiate level. Falling short to Canfield in the first round of the playoffs last year, the boys this year are looking for a way deeper run than last year.
“We are gonna take it one game at a time, play our best each game and get better at practice. That is really all we can do to ensure ourselves that we are getting better,” said Senior Mike Masucci.
Due to the loss of some seniors, younger players are going to have to step up and find a role to become a factor to this 2018 Poland Baseball Team.
“The juniors and of course seniors will play some leadership roles throughout the year to get the best out of everyone,” said Masucci.
Last season, Masucci was not able to play due to a shoulder injury and the surgery to go along with it. Since then, he played basketball during his senior season and his shoulder is all good now and is ready for this upcoming season.
“It feels good to be back, especially after having to sit out last year with the good team we had. But I am back.”
