The Poland Boys Basketball Team finished the 2016 season with eighteen wins and 6 losses. The Bulldogs season came to an end in the District Semi Finals when they lost to Salem. This season, the boys are losing 4 seniors. The senior class this year is looking to step up in their final season playing under Coach Grisdale’s twenty fifth season as head coach. Brandon Barringer and Mike Diaz are 2 out of the 4 seniors on the team this year, and they are both ready to lead the team.

“I think I am a leader on this team 100% because of how I try to stay positive and help my teammates out,” said Barringer the Bulldogs forward.

I then asked Diaz what his expectations were for this season, and he is expecting the best out of his teammates and coaches.

“I expect an undefeated season out of my team and we will have a good time if we take care of business,” said the starting point guard.

The Poland Boys open up the season in Liberty to take on the Leopards on December 1st at 7 pm. The home opener for the Bulldogs will be December 6th also at 7 pm, and they will take on Warren G Harding.
