Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Nugget Review
When everyone thinks of Wendy’s, you might think about burgers or their world famous Frosties. However, another fan favorite that people might be forgetting about is the spicy chicken nuggets.
Wendy’s first came out with spicy chicken nuggets in 2010. Then, in 2017, when the company said the nuggets were no longer in high demand and tried to secretly take them off the menu, fans of the nuggets were angry that their favorite menu item was gone.
The outrage led to fans offering up 2 million likes and over 410,000 retweets, and after a two year absence, the nuggets are back, but there’s a catch. The nuggets are only back for a limited time.
If by the time these nuggets sadly leave and you still didn’t get to try the food that all of Twitter was talking about, let me give you my review to tide you over until they’re back again.
The spicy chicken nugget as described by Wendys is “100% white-meat chicken breaded and marinated in our unique, fiery blend of peppers and spices. The internet icon is back for a hot minute.”
These nuggets come in 4, 6, 10 serving sizes and includes a choice of Buttermilk Ranch, Creamy Sriracha, BBQ, Sweet & Sour, Honey Mustard or Side of S’Awesome Sauce.”
The nuggets are the perfect size for an on the go snack.
The nuggets were nice and tender, and the added kick of spices doesn’t hit you right away but rather slowly as you keep eating. In my personal opinion, these nuggets are best eaten with ranch to counteract the kick of heat of the nuggets with the coolness of the sauce.
These nuggets are perfect by themselves, or one can make a whole meal out of them when one adds their natural cut sea salt fries and one of their many drink options including their chocolate or vanilla frosties or their new frosty cookie sundae.
Sad that the nuggets are leaving? Don’t worry, there are still many spicy chicken option available to you at Wendy’s including: Spicy Avocado BLT Chicken Sandwich, Classic Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Asiago Ranch Club, and Spicy Chicken Go wrap?
Scared you’re going to miss out on this limited time item? Go to Wendy’s and try them for yourself.
Let me know what you think.
