Run It Back Bulldogs

The Poland Bulldogs Varsity Football Team is looking to continue their hot streak after a successful regular season bout.

The Bulldogs finish the year at 8-2 and have clinched the second seed for Region 13 in the OHSAA playoffs.

Not only have the Bulldogs clinched a home playoff game, but they were recently crowned the inaugural champions of the newly formed Northeast 8 Athletic Conference.

After winning a tight game against Marlington, the Bulldogs found themselves in trouble at a 1-2 record after narrow losses to Boardman and Howland.

The Bulldogs quickly turned their misfortune around with a 27-7 win over South Range. Taking the Northeast 8 Athletic Conference by storm, the team went on to win their next five games by an average of 38.8 points per game.

The team clinched the Northeast 8 title with a 42-7 victory at Hubbard.

Last week, the Poland Bulldogs capped off an 8-2 record with a win over backyard rival Struthers 14-12.

The Bulldogs look to make some noise in the playoffs with a rematch win over Struthers.

The rematch takes place at 7 pm on Saturday, November 9 at Dave Pavlansky Field here in Poland.
