Crumbl Cookie is all the rage among the youth of America. It started as an online craze, through Tik Tok’s Social Media platform and took off from there. Crumbl Cookie is a bakery, but the catch is that they only sell – you guessed it- cookies. Not only that, but they have different flavor rotations every week, consisting of 6 new cookies.
A location opened up in Boardman, and the need to try out their cookies, and check out the craze was an absolute must.
As they advertise, Crumbl added a new rotation of flavors this week with the new lineup announced at 8 p.m. on Sundays.
The new flavors of last week included Semi Sweet Chocolate Chunk, Oatmeal Mallow Sandwich, Dark Dream, Caramel Apple, Chocolate Green Mint, and Peanut Butter Munch. When trying these flavors, we decided to rate the cookie out of a total score of 5 for taste, presentation, creativity, price point, and the overall experience.
First up – Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk. The taste was a 5/5, as going wrong with a classic chocolate cookie is extremely hard to do. The presentation was a 4⁄5, only because it was a plain cookie, but granted there isn’t much you can do to spice up a chocolate chip cookie. To rate the creativity of a chocolate chip cookie is not applicable, as it is not supposed to be creative, but rather a cookie based on taste. The price point was a little expensive, ranging $4.25-$4.75 for one chocolate chip cookie, but the price was understandable.
Second up- the Oatmeal Mallow Sandwich. For taste, this was a perfect 5/5, with extremely creamy icing in the middle, and perfect oatmeal-cinnamon flavoring. The soft oatmeal cookie and delicious filling made this one a personal favorite. The presentation was a 5/5, as it was made to play off of a classic oatmeal cream pie, yet still the large size of Crumbl Cookie. The creativity was a 5/5; we loved the way Crumble made this cookie, thinking of new and innovative ways to base this cookie off of a classic everyone knows and loves.. We thought the price point was accurate because the cookie is big, unique, and also extremely yummy.
The next cookie we tried was the Dark Dream Cookie. It was a dark chocolate cookie with dark chocolate chips in it. This cookie wasn’t at all too chocolatey and had the perfect amount of chocolate chips in it.. The overall rating we gave this cookie for taste was a 5/5. It was very delicious. The presentation was a ⅘ because, as with the regular choc. chip cookie, it was just a plain cookie. The creativity for this cookie also wasn’t measurable because it was just a regular cookie. Lastly, for this cookie, we thought the price was a little expensive being $5, but for our chocolate lovers out there, it would definitely be worth it!
The Caramel Apple had to be one of the best Crumbl Cookies flavors we have ever tried. The taste was 5/5, along with the presentation. The soft cookie was sweet with real caramel drizzled along soft icing and chopped up apples. Even in bites of just the cookie, no frosting or toppings added, we were able to taste the apple and caramel showing the true quality of the cookie! We were overall very impressed with this cookie; therefore, we gave it a perfect score in every category.
Next, we decided to try the Chocolate Green Mint Cookie. The taste of this cookie was overall made very well and very delicious. This one scored a 5/5 for the taste. The chocolate paired very well with the mint, both rich, yet slightly refreshing. The presentation scored 4.5/5, the pop of green mint icing against the dark backdrop of chocolate was very eye catching. Maybe one or two more pieces of Oreo topping would make it even prettier! We also believed that this cookie’s quality was worth the price we paid.
The last cookie we tried was Peanut Butter Munch, which was our favorite of this week’s group. The cookie is based off of the wildly popular, beloved snack, Muddy Buddies. The cookie got a perfect score in every aspect, for it was amazing! The cookie is peanut butter flavored and absolutely mouth watering. The frosting was a delicious butterscotch coating, with Muddy Buddies on top. Overall, this cookie was our favorite, and definitely worth the price point.
All in all, Crumbl Cookie cookie’s were very delicious. They were a combination of classic, unquestionably tasteful, unique, and creative cookies. The large size of the cookie, and the weekly rotation of flavors, makes this bakery definitely a fun spot to try out and experience. 10/10, would recommend!
