November is the month to begin celebrating, and Poland Seminary High School is flourishing as we near the holiday season. This month, the school holds two assemblies, the Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Assembly.
This past Friday on November 10, the school welcomed Veteran Lee Pagano. Lee was a Poland graduate and has sent his kids to the school, one graduating in 2024. Lee served from 1991-1994.
When asked what inspired him he stated, “I just wanted to be able to challenge myself, and I knew there was no greater challenge than joining the military.”
Pagano has had the opportunity to serve in multiple camps, including jungle camp with the Army Reserves.
Pagano also stated he learned a lot about adversity: “It was not always about me, if you rely on a team, whether it’s your family or your own team, you’ll get farther in life.”
Pagano emphasized his message throughout his speech and the assembly.
He hopes to spread more awareness and knowledge about the military.
Pagano stated, “I do believe it makes you grow up quicker, more humble, patriotic, and it makes you love the things that you have even more.”
Pagano hopes his speech made an impact on the students here at Poland Seminary and inspires them to be grateful. He also encourages everyone this month to show your Veterans love and thank them for their service during this upcoming holiday season.
