Capriotti’s is a new sandwich shop that has just opened in town. They specialize in hot sandwiches, and have a variety of sandwiches available on the menu. So you know we had to check it out! Capriotti’s is in Canfield, approximately 15 minutes from Poland. They just recently opened in late summer and have been a popular spot for lunch.
We decided to get a sandwich and their nachos to expand more into the menu. Their specialty is Philly cheese steaks, with wagyu beef. Their sandwiches come in 4 sizes; a half (five inches), a small (8 inches), a medium (10 inches), and their largest size, 18 inches. Other dishes include a variety of soups and salads
The first delicious sandwich we tried was the Italian sub. The classic Italian taste and juicy tomato made the sandwich outstanding. The presentation was very good, taking the look of the classic sub. Not to mention the food was in our hands within 10 minutes of walking through the doors. It came just as advertised, and did not disappoint. The taste was just what you’d expect, the tomato and thick bread made it an unforgettable sandwich. The price was not a foot and a leg, but it was very do-able. Overall, you will see us there purchasing the Italian sub again!
The second item off the menu we tried were their loaded nachos. We also got this without peppers and onions. The thin sliced fries were draped with cheese sauce, and then capped off with shredded beef. Overall, the presentation was very appetizing, and looked delectable. The cheese was so good, as were the fries. The price point for these nachos were pretty on par, around 8 bucks. All in all, the nachos were tasty, I would get them again.
And finally, the last item we tried was their classic Philly cheese steak, with American Wagyu. This sandwich is Capriotti’s signature sandwich, and there’s a reason for that. It was very delicious, and we’ll present it. It had a very commercial-worthy bun, which was white bread. The cheese melted perfectly over the beef and was calling our names! The taste was perfect, not too dry, and just the right amount of juice and savoriness. The price point was worth the sandwich, so I would also get this sandwich again for sure.
All in all, Capriotti’s was a hit! All the food we tried was well worth the visit, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good place to stop for lunch!
