The Lady Bulldog Basketball Team recently battled their conference rival Struthers and came out with a win of 51-43.
The first time playing the Wildcats this season, the team did not know what to expect. Despite the win, the girls had a rough start in the game’s first half. Getting over the nerves and excitement of a big game, they were able to come back and take their win.
Junior Kate Harrell was the offensive leader for this game, scoring 13 points. An important game, she shares that the team was “pumped” to play their best. Looking forward to upcoming games, she hopes the team can keep their offense up.
This game was an important win for the Bulldogs, who are trying to remain champions of the NE8 conference for another year. So far in conference, they have only lost against South Range. Their overall record is 7-5, and 5-1 in conference.
The team’s next game is against Girard, who the Bulldogs have already had a win against this season. This conference game will be held at Girard next Thursday, January 18 at 7PM.
