With school back in session for the New Year, Poland Seminary is going full swing into the second semester. At the high-school, students are taking and studying for their midterms and some will be embarking in new classes for the second half of the year.
Along with these academic changes, Poland students have also been applying changes to their daily lives in hopes of setting new goals for 2024.
Sophomore Alyssa Davis states, “My New Year’s resolutions are to get out of the house.. and hangout with my friends more. I’m also looking forward to being able to see some of my favorite people graduate and move on to do better things.”
Senior Hayden Hopps has goals such as “I’d like to finish the Bible by the end of the year, and I’m really looking forward to graduating.”
Finding and setting resolutions can also be difficult, and they require a lot of motivation and determination. Here are some other options of New Year’s goals that students at PSHS are setting for themselves:
- Digital Detoxing
- Prioritizing Mental Health
- Trying New Activities
- Exercising
- Creating Better Study Habits
- Practicing Mindfulness
