Prom has rolled around again for Poland Seminary, and the festivities have begun! Prom has proven to be a very memorable experience for many and is often credited with being the pinnacle of the school year for upperclassmen. Poland Seminary students have the opportunity to participate in the annual Promenade. Students are able to walk out with their dates and have a personal introduction, as well. Students then smile and pose for pictures at the end of the walkway. At the conclusion of the night, 2 members of the junior class prom court, 1 boy and 1 girl, are chosen to be Prom King and Queen.
Chris Denney and Terran Sole were chosen to be the previous year’s king and queen, and they’ll have the honor to crown the succeeding pair with the distinction of king and queen. Amongst them, the senior prom court also includes: Matt Matiste, Andrew Todd, Cole Fulton, Danny Nittoli, and Matt Boccieri. In addition, Nadia Zarbaugh, Bella Khoury, Bridgett Eckman, Gabriella Rondon, and Josey Norris were chosen.
Just recently, the incoming junior class prom court was announced. The court for the boys includes: Tyler Canfield, Michael Daley, Carson DeCore, Josh Macejko, Jas Stefancin, and Dom Yurich. The girls include Anjolena Faunda, Kate Harrell, Lucy Harrell, Lucienne Hopps, Lainey McGivern, and Talia Milano. Congratulations to those who were just recently voted to be on this year’s prom court!
Poland’s Promenade and Prom will take place on May 10. Tickets will be sold from Wednesday, April 24 to Monday, April 29 during lunch or after school in Mrs. Gotti’s room for $60 per ticket. Promenade will take place May 10 from 5:30-6:30. Students will then go to the Vineyards at Pine Lake for dinner.
We hope that everyone who attends has a wonderful time and enjoys their prom weekend. Have a great time at prom, but, most importantly, please be safe!
