As the school year starts coming to an end and the fourth nine weeks begins, the annual AIR Tests have arrived. To help students prepare, we’ve interviewed Mrs. Calderon to give some advice about how to perform your best!
First off, we gathered all the dates and information for each AIR Test taking place this school year.
- High School English 2 will test on April 7 and 8 at 7:30am.
- Algebra 1 and Geometry will test on April 29 and 30 at 7:30am.
- Biology will test on May 1 at 7:30 with US Government testing the same day at 12:30.
- US History will test on May 2 at 12:30pm. All tests will take place in the Field House.
We’ve asked Mrs. Calderon how to best prepare for these future tests.
She responded, “…going back to the testing skills and strategies that we’ve been using since elementary school. Utilize tools, check your work, and take your time.”
She also said to do the best you can because of the effect these tests have on graduation!
Some other general tips for the AIR Test include getting sufficient sleep the night before and eating a high energy breakfast the morning of! Asking teachers what you should review before testing is also very helpful. But in general, showing up and performing to the best of your abilities is the most important thing.
