This has year has turned out to be an extremely successful season for Poland’s Speech and Debate Team. Since the last update, the team has gone to eight tournaments, having at least one member place in the top six in seven of them.

Our public forum debate teams have been doing extremely well. The team of Noah Lee placed first at the Poland Tournament and made it to Octafinals at the Sylvania Tournament. The team of Dylan Gordon and Vincent Davila have placed in the top six at the last six tournaments. Within speech, Yiannoula Katsadis also placed in the top six at the last six tournaments.

At the Canfield Tournament, the team won most improved from the previous year. At the Canfield Tournament, Meredith Lea broke to semi- finals in congressional debate;  Merena Meditatie broke to semi-finals in humorous interpretation; Yiannoula Katsadis broke to semis in declamation, and the team of Dylan Gordon and Vincent Davila placed third in public forum debate.

There are now only two regular season tournaments left at Liberty and East Liverpool. After that, the whole team will be preparing for the State and National Qualifier Tournaments. Hopefully, like last year, the team will be able to send a lot of kids to these tournaments again. The team has been improving rapidly!
