Senior, Rabekah Thomas, will be continuing her soccer career at Heidelberg College in the Fall of 2018. Rebekah signed her letter of intent Tuesday, March 20th, in the Poland Seminary High School Field House Lobby.

Thomas has been playing soccer since she was four, and this marked a very big day for her. She was joined by her mom, dad, brothers, and grandparents; as well as being cheered on by her soccer team and the administrators of PSHS.

Rebekah’s coach, John Cavalier, gave a very heartfelt speech before she signed her letter, stating that Thomas is an athlete who puts her heart and soul into her sport. He talked about how honored he was to have coached Thomas for four years, and he knows her work ethic will pay off in the future.

Thomas said that she chose Heidelberg because it made her feel at home, and it was very strong academically. Her biggest advice to fellow teammates who wish to be signed in the future is to just have fun and know when your senior year arrives that not every college is for you.

Along with playing soccer, Thomas plans to study Pre-Med in college.
