Prom, one the most memorable nights of a teen’s high school career, for the seniors, this was the last big celebration before graduation. The dress, the tux, the hair, the limo, the pictures, and the dance itself. All of these coming together to make prom as lively as possible.  There are many factors that go into making prom so special.

One of the most important parts of prom nights fun – the music.

There is always a big controversy between live music and DJ, so we decided to ask students which they prefer and their opinion on music at prom.

Senior Natalie Delsignore emphasized the importance of music on prom night.

Delsignore said, “Yes, music is very important.”

When asked if music should be played from different time periods, she responded, “ I can do some throwbacks.”

Seniors Michael Puhalla and Sarah Oman both said that a DJ is preferable to them, but a live band is definitely the classier way to go for prom night.

They agreed that students should definitely be able to request songs to a live band.

The question is something to consider for next year’s prom!

What do you think? Live Band? Or DJ?
