Senior Checklist

Senior+Checklist

As the graduation date for the class of 2021 is coming up on us quickly, there are a few things seniors need to have put together prior to May 29th in order to graduate. The PSHS Guidance Department has a Google Classroom open to all seniors in the class of 2021 with helpful information about applying to college, scholarship opportunities, and important paperwork you need to complete prior to cap and gown pickup.

An important form all seniors must complete is the PE waiver form. It was emailed to all seniors on March 16. The requirements for this form if you have not taken a gym credit is to have either 4 full seasons of marching band, 2 full seasons of the same sport, or 3 full seasons of a combination of sports. If you have done any of these, you need your coaches/band director to sign off for each school year you have played that sport. To reiterate, this is only for seniors who choose to play a sport or a combination of sports or are in band who did not take a physical education class at PSHS.

Secondly is your financial literacy credit. To receive this, you needed to either take economics, accounting, or the online financial literacy course, which you can find in the senior Google Classroom. If you did your financial literacy credit at PSHS, you are set as it is on your transcript for our guidance department to see. However, if you did the online option, you have to send a screenshot, or some sort of copy of your certificate of completion for the online financial literacy and send it to either Mr. Vegas, or Mrs. Calderon.

Lastly, it is always a good idea to check with guidance if you suspect you are missing enough credits to graduate; however, you should have been notified by now if this is the case. There is also prom coming up on May 7th, and Mrs. Riley is diligently working on putting together more fun senior activities such as the senior cookout, so be sure to check your email for information on that.
