With summer around the corner, it’s also time for many of the PSHS students to pick up activities and jobs to make some extra cash.
Here are some of the common positions that hire high school students currently:

- Retail Associate: Companies hiring this summer are TJMaxx, Five Below,
- Lifeguards: The YMCA, the Lake Club, or the Poland Swim Club
- Camp Counselors: The YMCA
- Tutor: PSHS guidance counselors may help with finding opportunities
- Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
- Babysitting
- Freelance Work: Landscaping companies, neighborhood grass mowing
- Restaurant Server/Barista: BJ’s, Steak n Shake, McDonalds, Starbucks, Dunkin, Chick-Fil-A
Be aware that some jobs have age restrictions, along with experience requirements.
Most of these jobs are available locally for students in the Poland/Boardman area and are currently handing out applications.
