Celebrating Mexican Culture
Cultural Mexican Altar built by Mrs. Mitch’s Spanish I students for the “Día de Los Muertos.” (Day of the Dead). This Mexican Holiday takes place on November 1st & 2nd. It is a holiday spent with family to honor their loved one’s who have died. Spanish I students learned about the holiday and the important symbols involved. They decided to make a traditional altar in order to honor the deceased. Everything placed on the altar has a reason for being there. (Pictured is Mrs. Mitch’s 3rd and 7th periods.)
