Last week, February 21th-24st, was Poland’s 2023 spirit week. The second-semester economics classes came up with the themes. The first day’s theme was Tropical Tuesday. Students dressed in beach clothing wearing Hawaiian button ups with shorts, and sunglasses.

On the second day, the theme was BBQ dad vs Soccer mom.  The boys would dress up in aprons and typical clothes dads would wear. The girls dressed up in athletic leggings with zip-up jackets; they accesorized with hats,sunglasses,and fanny packs. 

Thursday’s theme was favorite holdiay. The students all dressed up in differnet holidays, such as Christmas, Halloween,and Fourth of July 

On the last day of spirit week, the theme was the economics shirts designed by our second-semester economics classes. It was a black on black cotton t-shirt. On the front was the Poland “P” logo and on the back was a buff looking Poland bulldog ripping through chains.

Spirit week ended with a pep assembly. There were so many fun activities the students and staff participated in, such as sumo wrestling, basketball shoot off, 3 point basketball challenge, and teachers vs seniors basketball game. The teachers came out of the game victorious. 

Overall, spirit week and the pep assembly was very successful and the students and staff are looking forward to next year’s.
