New Year’s Six Bowl Games Predictions

New+Years+Six+Bowl+Games+Predictions

1.Orange Bowl:

Michigan vs Florida State: (12/30) 8 PM, Miami

Michigan just barely missed the college football playoffs, and with their last loss a double OT loss on the road, Harbaugh and Michigan are like a shaken up hornet’s nest. With nearly a month to prepare, I believe Michigan is going to be ready to play. While Florida State is a good team, I don’t think that they will be talented enough to drive on Michigan’s defense.

Prediction: Michigan 38, Florida state 14

2.Fiesta Bowl

Ohio State vs Clemson: (12/31) 7 PM, Glendale, Arizona

Clemson has beaten Virginia Tech for the ACC championship. Ohio State has beaten 3 top 10 teams. There is no doubting Ohio State’s resume. The Tigers gave up 35 points to a VT that has struggled. If they have any hope against JT Barrett and Curtis Samuel, they need a defensive adjustment. Ohio State should easily contain Deshaun Watson, and they will have a comfortable win against the, in my opinion, overrated Clemson Tigers. Buckeyes with the win.

Prediction: Ohio State 42, Clemson 27

3.Peach Bowl

Alabama vs Washington: (12/31) 3 PM, Atlanta

Washington, in my opinion, is the most overrated team in college football. They have played very few games of actual competition. They beat a very injury cursed Colorado team that played 2 quarters with a backup QB to win the Pac 12. The biggest game they played was against USC where they lost 26-13. Reminder that this USC team is the same team that lost 52-6 to Alabama, who Washington is playing. I think this game will be an absolute blowout. Alabama will embarrass them and win big.

Prediction: Alabama 52, Washington 13

4. Cotton Bowl

Wisconsin vs Western Michigan: (1/2) 1 PM, Arlington, Texas

This game shouldn’t be close as well. While Western Michigan completed their season undefeated with a 29-23 win against the Ohio Bobcats, they have only played against the MAC teams.  Wisconsin has played LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State and played at least a competitive game in each and won against LSU. Western Michigan deserves credit because going undefeated is not easy regardless of the conference, but Wisconsin’s defense is too elite. Badgers take it.

Prediction: Wisconsin 41, Western Michigan 14

5. Rose Bowl

Penn State vs USC: (1/2) 5 PM, Pasadena, California

Both of these teams are on huge win streaks. Penn State has beaten both Ohio State and Wisconsin(In Big Ten Championship) ever since their 49-10 loss to Michigan. USC has caught fire since being throttled 56-3 by Alabama. I think Penn State is going to keep the magic going in this one. Penn State with the close win.

Prediction: Penn State 27, USC 21

6. Sugar Bowl

Oklahoma vs Auburn: (1/2) 8:30 PM, New Orleans

Oklahoma has two players as Heisman Finalist, Dede Westbrook and Baker Mayfield, and I believe that they will be enough to get Oklahoma the win. Auburn has lost it’s touch it seems, and they lost their last game to Alabama. Oklahoma has caught fire and hasn’t looked back. I don’t things will be any different.
