The Kindness Club branches out to the high school
Poland Seminary High School has recently added the Kindness Club which originated at the Poland Middle School.
The founder of the Kindness Club is Mrs. Martin, a seventh grade math teacher, who was inspired from a school she student taught at which had a similar club. Mrs. Martin took the initiative to implement a Kindness Club right here in Poland, and now, high school teacher, Mrs. Vagas is following in her footsteps to create a Kindness Club at the high school.
Mrs. Vagas said that she decided to start the club, so students are able to provide services and have fun activities to participate in after school.
In March, the PSHS Kindness Club is planning to make mats for dogs and sell them; all of the earnings go to an animal rescue .
The first meeting was on February 7, but students can still join! Any student interested should see Mrs. Vagas for more information.
In the last two years, the Kindness Club did several acts of kindness throughout the Poland Middle School. Some examples were writing thank you notes to staff members, making cards for children at Akron Children’s Hospital, and donating books to a school in need.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Poland Seminary High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
