Bryana Pecchia, a recent graduate from Poland Seminary High School, was selected to receive a $1000.00 scholarship for Youngstown State University through The Greater Youngstown Italian Fest, which took place in Downtown Youngstown on August 5, 2016.

The Italian Heritage Foundation is a 501C3 non-profit organization. Scholarships are provided by private donors and The Italian Heritage Foundation.

Students who are interested in applying for the scholarship can check The Greater Youngstown Italian Fest’s website in the Spring of 2017. New forms will be posted at that time.

According to the scholarship chairperson, Deborah Mottle, a brief essay regarding the student’s Italian heritage is required with each application.
