Bake Me Treats Seasonal Festivals
With summer coming to an end, Bake Me Treats held their annual Summer Festival August 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, in the center of Poland. A fun way to say good-bye to the hot weather succeeded when a multitude of people lined up for festivities and delicious treats the vendors and bakery had to offer. Bake Me Treats Manager and Poland Alumni, Catherine Tabaka, talks about the festival and what to look forward to as Fall approaches.
As a small business itself, Bake Me Treats knows the importance of supporting local businesses.
Tabaka says, “. . .large corporations in and out of the country are treated extra, so definitely I think small businesses are what make a town.”
The festival brings in numerous small businesses from the Youngstown area to promote their products to the public. These vendors included handmade items and food trucks for people to enjoy.
This market caters to people of all ages. Along with shopping are activities for children, such as games. There are plans for even more child oriented activities such as face painting, a balloon artist, and a new Halloween themed bounce house.
“It is geared towards family and kids. . . that was the goal of the festival,” Tabaka states.
With the next festival coming up in October, there are many exciting new things to look forward to that are perfect for celebrating the season’s upcoming holiday. Bake Me Treats is planning on new vendors, bringing old ones back, and plenty of seasonal treats will be offered by the business itself.
Through the busy planning period, Bake Me Treats implores people to “come have fun!”
