Poland’s Homecoming King and Queen
Friday, September 23 was Poland’s 2022 Homecoming Football Game. The night started with the 2023 class and underclassmen filling the student section; the theme for the game was blackout.
Around 6:40 p.m, The Homecoming Court started making their way to the field. This year’s court was Caylee Catcott escorted by Logan Flament, Sophia D’Angelo escorted by JP Genova, Katie Justice escorted by Jacob Allsopp, and Bella Beight escorted by Andrew Slaven.
Once all the court was announced and walked onto the field, it was time to reveal the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen. This year’s King and Queen were seniors JP Genova and Bella Beight.
We got the privilege to interview this year’s king and queen.
We first asked the homecoming king, why do you think you got on court?
“I think I got onto court because I try to be nice to everyone, and I think in return people see me as a kind person,” said Genova.
We then asked our homecoming queen, what was your reaction to hearing your name be announced?
“My reaction to hearing my name be announced was caught on camera and is on every social media account of Poland Schools, and I was genuinely super shocked ,but so so happy it was me!”
We should look at these two students as role models for how to treat each other and spread kindness to everyone.
