One Tree Hill

The show is set in the fictional town of Tree Hill in North Carolina and originally follows the lives of two half-brothers, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), who compete for positions on their school’s basketball team, and the drama that ensues from the brothers’ romances.

One Tree Hill is based on some high-school kids in North Carolina. The school basketball teams’ star is Nathan Scott who is tested when his half-brother Lucas Scott shows up to play. Dan Scott, the father of both boys, pushes Nathan harder than the coaches approves trying to lead him up to the player Dan used to be in High-school. While Karen Roe, Lucas’s hard working café owner mom, takes care of Lucas and so does his Uncle Keith.  As the two grow up and play basketball together, they develop a strong bond with each other that pushes away the conflict of their parents. Throughout the series, the two experience heartache and tragedy but they learn to overcome all these things by sticking together and make their dreams become a reality.
