The PSHS Band made their way to the Phantoms Game this week!
I spoke with the band directors, Mr. Jeff Hvizdos and Mr. Jeff Penny.
They spoke about their favorite memories, how the band became apart of the games, a song that brought the crowd alive, and the possibility of doing more trips like this!
Both directors have enjoyed the first game and this recent one. The ability to be able to play more songs than usual was a joy.
How did this tradition come to be? The band was reached out to by a woman who was at Poland at one point. She asked the band to come one year and now has become a permanent part of the games.
Hvizdos and Penny most enjoy playing Word Up at the Phantom games due to the amazing reactions and energy of the crowd.
Looking ahead, they emphasized that they would love for the band to be able to perform at more Scrapers games.
Congratulations to the PSHS band seniors and their last Phantoms game!
Next up is the Walt Disney World field trip, and we can’t wait to see the magical memories!
