The Boys Golf team placed 12th in the state to advance to the State Tournament in October. The Bulldogs made history earlier in the year becoming Sectional Champions for the first time in a long time. In the district tournament, Junior Alex Rapp sunk a hole in one to secure the 12th seed in the state of Ohio.

“When he made that hole in one, the whole team was so excited because we knew that we made it to the big dance because of that hole in one,” said Senior Zach Howard.

Howard also said that the atmosphere at state was nerve wracking but very cool to be apart of.

Howard said, “It was more than I expected, of course it was our goal but it was a great time and a good learning experience for younger guys on the team.”

This was Howard’s last year of high school golf, and he said it has been a lot of fun.
