For Thanksgiving, many people have different plans for the holiday. Two Poland Seminary High School students have different plans than most this holiday season.

Nina Kalouris and Melina Livosky are headed to New York City to cheer with Spirit of America in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. The students will be in New York during the week of Thanksgiving preparing with their teammates for their big moment.

Senior Melina Livosky exclaimed that this year, she wants to take it all in and take it all step by step for her senior year. This will be Melina’s second time participating in the Macy’s Parade on Thanksgiving as well as Nina Kalouris.

When Livosky was asked about how she prepares for the event, she stated that she has to learn her routine from a video that is given by Spirit of America which she has to go over multiple times.

As exciting as it is to be cheering, we asked Melina what she was looking forward to in New York City, and she mentioned seeing the Radio City Rockettes. The Bulldog Cheerleaders will be seen wearing a blue one piece uniform with a neon star in the center.

Melina says that she is not nervous about performing in front of so many people all over the world because it is normal for her to perform in front of big crowds because of her team: All American. Look for the Bulldog Cheerleaders on your screen. Good luck and congratulations Melina and Nina!
