Annually, Poland Seminary High School publishes a literary magazine that embraces the talent across grade levels 9-12.
Likewise, this year, the magazine staff hopes to “create a magazine that includes literary talent across all high school grade levels,” says magazine instructor and high school English teacher, Mrs Smith.
As of February 2026, the staff reports that there are entries from grades 10 and 12 and are encouraging all students in grades 9-12 to submit work to be featured in the annual publication of the Gathering Leaves Literary Magazine.
The magazine has always been consistent in advertising and publishing work in the past few years and hopes that this year will be no different.
Every year, the literary magazine staff prepares a hard copy of the magazine itself that releases in May and can be located in the school library.
Smith says that “we love different voices through different students,” and all of the staff pushes for creativity to thrive under their magazine.
