On February 16th 2026, Poland Seminary High School’s Boys Lacrosse Team will be starting their 2026 season. Last year, the boys lacrosse team was met with a season long slump which had them in doubt, but this year will be different.
With some new faces on the starting lineup, and pride like no other, the boys lacrosse season is without a doubt going to improve! With their improvements, and work put in, it is very likely that this season will be like no other and light the way for this team to get out of their slump.
When talking to upcoming senior Nate Sosnowski, he explains that the team has very high expectations for this season.
He tells me they “are working day after day at skill sessions as well as outside of these sessions to improve our chances.”
With so much work already being put into the season, and much more to go, the boys lacrosse season is off to a great start! With coaches even touching upon basics to work on, and imperfections from last year, the coaching staff has been such a crucial part of the improvements made by this team.
Coaching is more than important when it comes to sports, especially in high school. So for the coaching staff to realize past mistakes, from themselves and the team, and improve on them to a point of perfection is amazing.
When talking to Sosnowski’s fellow upcoming Junior teammate, Carter Iberis, he also expresses much hope and pride for this upcoming season. Carter is a multi-sport student athlete so he sometimes thinks “it is hard for me to focus on one thing”.
Although he finds it difficult sometimes he “does other things that keep me in shape like soccer and tennis”. With his commitment to all these sports, he is constantly conditioned for the Lacrosse season. With good conditioning, mindset, and skill work this team can really do something special this year.
Overall, the Poland Seminary High school Boys Lacrosse team is more than excited up for the season to start. With all the work and dedication being put into this program, only the best can come from it, and the results will show.
